Ms. Alyssa Bellardino

Ms. Alyssa Bellardino joined Roxbury in 2016 at Nixon Elementary School as a second grade teacher.

She earned her bachelors degree from Montclair State University in Psychology and Elementary Education K-6 in 2015. Before landing her current role as Roxbury´s Prek-6th Humanities and Arts Supervisor, she worked in diverse classrooms ranging from K-4th grade, both general education and special education. As humanities supervisor, Ms. Bellardino oversees the district's development and implementation of the curriculum programs, and teaching and learning initiatives for English Language Arts and Social Studies.  

In 2019, Ms. Bellardino completed her Masters in Educational Leadership from Centenary University, as well as received her supervisor, principal, and school administrator license. She is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of English and The New Jersey Affiliate of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Ms. Bellardino also serves on the executive committee of the Morris Area Curriculum Network as the corresponding secretary.

Her passions include being a literacy lover, a social-emotional learning advocate, and striving to be a lifelong learner!
