Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Dr. Zegar and I would like to welcome you to Lincoln Roosevelt School for the 2022-2023 school year. Our staff eagerly anticipates meeting your child on the first day of school – Monday, August 29th, 2022.
Starting off a school year is always an exciting time for both students and staff. It is a new beginning for everyone involved and an opportunity to grow as individuals. At L/R, our team tries to instill in our students the following virtues:
1) Never be afraid to challenge yourself and reach to achieve your dreams.
2) Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
3) Make smart decisions and admire those of great character.
4) Work hard and remain dedicated, and success will follow.
Instilling these qualities is only possible by forging a strong bond between home and school. Our teachers and administrators look forward to working with you in order to make your child’s academic experience a positive one. Keeping that notion in mind, communication between students, parents and teachers is a critical element in your child’s success at school. L/R teachers will communicate your child’s progress to you and seek your support throughout the year. You are also encouraged to reach out and initiate communication with your child’s teacher if you ever have a concern about your child. We are positive that, together, we can make a difference.
In order to ease your child’s transition to their next school year, the doors of L/R will be open for a self-guided tour on Tuesday, August 23rd, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a copy of your child’s schedule so they can “walk-through” their daily routine. Maps will be provided in the main lobby to aid in navigating the building.
Also, please mark your calendar for our Back-to-School night scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th , at 7:00 pm. This event is for parents only.
On behalf of the entire Lincoln/Roosevelt staff, enjoy the rest of the summer. We look forward to a great school year.
Sincerely,
Chris Argenziano Dr. Christopher Zegar
