Principal's Message

  • Welcome and thank you for visiting our website!

On this site, you will find useful and important information about Nixon Elementary School, upcoming events, and exciting activities that take place during the school year. Please be sure to check the site and calendar regularly for updated events and activities. Weekly communication newsletters will be posted under the Principals Newsletter tab.

At Nixon School, we take pride in our teaching and learning process, which is focused on the whole child with the intent of fostering and developing a growth mindset in all. Individualized student growth is supported and celebrated. Such growth is accomplished through the implementation of a comprehensive curriculum which is aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards & Next Generation Science Standards; use of a workshop model of instruction in ELA and Mathematics; and hands-on, minds-on instruction in all curricular areas including social emotional learning. A tremendous focus is also placed on infusing technology into our curriculum, so that our students are equipped with 21st century skills and experiences.

Nixon School is a place where students, families, community members, and staff work together to BE THE CHANGE.  We are truly ONE community working towards the goal of helping each other to positively impact our own lives, as well as the lives of others.   Thank you for being a part of this important work!

    Educationally,

    Mrs. Danielle Lynch, Principal
