Make music this summer with the Roxbury Community School! The benefits of participating in the Summer Band program are endless! Two possible camps to choose from! 

• This program is open to Roxbury and non-Roxbury children in grades 6-9.
• Camps are based on the age/grade the child will be in September 2024.
• This camp needs a minimum of 6 students per session in order to run.
• The registration deadline is Friday, June 28, 2024.

Summer Band I for Grades 6-7

The Summer Band Program is an opportunity for band students entering grades 6 and 7 to continue progressing on their instrument during the summer. Students will receive large and small group experiences every day -- an opportunity not available during the school year! Instruments taught in this camp include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, and percussion. 

How is Summer Band different from Regular Band?

• Small group lesson AND ensemble experience every day
• Music games and competitions
• Opportunity to make new friends
• Two grade levels in one band
• Theme days

Summer Band II for Grades 8-9

The Summer Band Program is an opportunity for band students entering grades 8-9 to have fun playing their instrument in a band setting during summer break. Beginner and current students welcome! Students will receive large and small group experiences every single day. All band instruments are taught in camp!

The Roxbury Community School is self-sufficient and a course/program must pay for itself. If there are not enough registrants, the course/program will be canceled. The Coordinator reserves the right to remove from class those individuals who have not paid tuition.

There are no refunds for courses/camps AFTER the program starts. All cancellations must be received in writing to comschool@roxbury.org at least seven days prior to the start of the class for a refund. After that date, there will be no refunds.
