• Hello Nixon School Families,

    I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer days!  While more information will be forthcoming in the coming weeks, I wanted to be sure to share the following points with everyone...

    New Website Launched:
    The district has moved to a new website template, so when you log into the website you will see a completely new design. We hope that you find the new site more engaging and easier to navigate. Please be sure to visit... www.roxbury.org to check it out.  If for any reason, you still are seeing the old website, please close your web browser and try again.  If that still does not work, please clean out your "cookies" and try again.... that is what worked for me.


    Nixon School Open House:

    Our Nixon School Open House is planned for Thursday, August 26, 2021, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please keep in mind that teachers may or may not be present for this open house time; however, I will be here and will offer a story time every hour beginning at 10:30 AM.  Families are welcome to visit during this timeframe for a self-guided tour of the school.  Please note:  During the self-guided tour, families will be able to "sneak-a-peek" of the classrooms through the windows on the interior classroom doors. 


    Incoming Kindergarten Parent Orientation:
    On the same day as our Nixon School Open House (Thursday, August 26, 2021), I will be hosting an orientation for Incoming Kindergarten parents/guardians from 9:30 - 10:00 AM in the Nixon School Media/Tech Center.  
     
    Teacher and Transportation Assignments:
    It is anticipated that this information will be launched in Genesis on Friday, August 20, 2021.  In order to access the information, there will be numerous forms that you will need to review, acknowledge, and complete in Genesis.  More info to come regarding this process in the coming days.
     
    Alternate Bus Stop Request Form:
    Linked here is the Alternate Bus Stop Request Form.  This form MUST be completed if your child needs to be picked up and dropped off to a location other than the bus stop location associated with your home address.  Please be aware that all alternate stop requests are a PERMANENT five day per week arrangement.  While the deadline for this request was August 1, 2021, you are encouraged to submit any necessary request ASAP to me via an email scan of the Alternate Bus Stop Request form or by faxing the completed form to our school's Main Office at 973 398 3341.
