Philosophy:
As an educational leader, I strive to foster the development of an educational community that is inquisitive, responsive, and innovative, so that students experience an education that prepares them to be builders of the future.
In order to accomplish this, I believe a strong emphasis needs to be placed on the intangibles: vision, relationships, communication, and the core beliefs and values of our district. It is these intangibles that create the foundation of our work. Work that focused on fostering the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of all students.
I believe that I am here to serve students, parents/guardians, staff, administration and the community at large. It is through this service and the desire to work with others that I see my personal vision becoming a reality - to build a better and brighter tomorrow, so that the students in my care receive every opportunity that they are rightfully deserving.
Who I Am:
In addition to being the proud Principal of Nixon Elementary School, my husband and I are the proud parents of two amazing children. I also have two very special fur babies. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being my children's biggest cheerleader on the sidelines and volunteering for their teams/causes, baking, going on walks, adventuring, taking pictures, and organizing any and everything.
